Hello, I'm completely new to this forum and Juniper newbie, so please bear with me.
We have cluster of two SRX3600 with the following setup:
1 x NPC card
2 x SPC cards (Cp-Flow + Flow)
1 x SRX3k 2x10GE XFP IOC
There is also one interface used for data on the SFB plus the MGMT and HA connections.
In the secondary box of the cluster, one SPC card has failed recently.
My question is, are we losing anything? Is there any service degradation? If failover happens, will the secondary unit work as usual?
I tried to understand the SRX modular architecture and I got the impression that the real bottleneck in the system is NPC with its 10G connection to IOC (SRX3k 2x10GE XFP) and 10G connection to the fabric. Is this single NPC sharing both SPC? If yes, is single SPC running in combo mode able to handle this setup (10G throughput)?
Also the problem is, SPC card for SRX3xxx is EOS and you cannot buy a new one.
Any comments appreciated. Thank you.
