Hello everyone,
I'm trying to configure a setup, where I have a clustered configuration of 2 SRX 220's, while utilizing dual ISP scenario, where I'm only concerned about failing over if one of the nodes dies (as opposed to one of the ISP's dying).
My goal is to utilize both ISP's with different traffic on each, for example VoIP on ISP1, while running VPN traffic on ISP2. Then if either ISP fails, the traffic (using RPM style stuff as in a single router environment) will fail over to the other ISP until the particular ISP is back up. BUT I want the cluster to fail over in the case where a particular node might fail, or if something happens with power (dual battery backups as well).
I already have the cluster going as far as my LAG's to my stacked switches, and I have both nodes plugged into both ISP's. The problem is that I did a "commit full" the other day (fairly new installation - week or so) and I lost remote connectivity. I had to have the local onsite tech power cycle one node then internet and my remote access was restored.
I'm wondering if there is a particular way to setup the monitored ports such that it'll fail over on some sort of power or physical node failure, but not in the case of switch or ISP failure.
Thanks!
